On the successful albums Albala, Gandadiko and Wande, Samba Touré mixed his own original style with Western and American blues influences. Now he goes back to his musical roots in Timbuktu and resolutely chooses Songhai music, which is also sometimes called 'desert blues'.
During the concert he is supported by Souleymane Kane on percussion and by Djimé Sissoko on the ngoni, an African string instrument.
